USA World Lacrosse champions 2010

USA beat Canada 12-10 to regain the top world ranking in the Mens World Lacrosse championships in Manchester England.  The teams started out very evenly with a strong 3rd quarter to the Canadians 4-0. Going into the 4th quarter it was all even at 8-8 with the USA coming out on top in the final quarter to take the championship.

New Zeland ended the tournament with a 19th place ranking beating Spain 23-5 with Andrew Clayton scoring 5 goals and assisting in 5 others. NZ had 7 unanswered goals in the final quarter. Andrew Clayton also finished 3rd on the Player points table with 28 goals and 10 assists.

Australia finished 3rd, Japan 4th, England 5th and Germany 6th in the Elite Division. The best of the minor divisions was Scotland 1st with Netherlands 2nd in a close 11-10 game.
